Tiny Chapel Weddings At The Angel Nyack

Micro Weddings, Elopements & Vow Renewals

Blessings for All

For a few select days each year, the doors of the Lovatt Chapel swing open for non-denominational micro weddings, elopements, and vow renewals. Nestled within the walls of the Angel Nyack – a historic church, transformed into a performing arts space – it blends timeless charm with modern elegance and makes an ideal backdrop for your intimate ceremony.

Petite & Simply Perfect

This jewel-box space is perfect for filling with love, laughter and unforgettable memories. It’s an elevated take on a classic “city hall” wedding. Plus you can invite up to 10 of your closest friends and family to share in your special moment!

Love Blooms

The chapel is adorned with flowers that are locally sourced and reflect the season. Beautiful bouquets/boutonnieres are also provided.

Halo Effect

A portion of every celebration goes to support Soup Angels, who have been nourishing neighbors in need for 20 years here at the Angel Nyack. In June, a  portion can also be donated to the Rockland Pride Center, to honor “Pride Weekend” 🌈 in Nyack.

“We renewed our vows and then enjoyed a second honeymoon on the Hudson."

The Angel Nyack Team

Ceremony Suited to You

A charming officiant will help you customize your ceremony in advance. These are non-denominational ceremonies, but feel free to add any religious or spiritual elements that have meaning for you.

Professional Photography

Capture all the moments before, during and after with the help of highly-sought-after wedding photographers.

Musical Touch

A Tiny Chapel Wedding should reflect your unique style and personality. That's why we offer the flexibility to bring your own music playlist or instruct a professional musician we supply – whatever makes your hearts sing!

We believe every wedding should be filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of sparkle. That's why we include a champagne toast and confetti pop with our Tiny Chapel Weddings.

“We celebrated our second marriage here – with just our kids. Was such a lovely way to mark this moment with our blended family.”

what to expect & timeline

  • The Lovatt Chapel is located in the historic First Reformed Church at 18 South Broadway, Nyack NY. Please note: these ceremonies are non-denominational, but couples can certainly instruct officiants to include scripture or other spiritual texts that are meaningful to them.

  • A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your time. The remainder will be charged 48 hours before your celebration. If you need to cancel, your deposit will simply turn into a donation in support of The Angel Nyack / Soup Angels. For no-shows, the full amount will be charged and donated to The Angel Nyack / Soup Angels.

  • Once you’re signed up, we’ll be in touch to talk through the details and customize your moment - like the officiant’s text or musical choice. A coordinator will be on hand to answer any questions in the leadup, send reminders, and guide you through your time at the chapel on the day of.

  • You and your 10 guests *must* arrive on time and no earlier than 15 minutes beforehand. Consider meeting up at a local restaurant nearby if you want to gather up earlier – they are just a few steps away.

  • For those who selected this option, you’ll be greeted and given your bouquet/boutonnières. The chapel will be decorated and the bouquets and boutonnières are made from locally grown flowers from Bluefield Farm.

  • You’ll have 10 minutes to chat with the officiant, musician and photographer (if you chosen these options). Feel free to take some pre-ceremony photos!

  • A few minutes before your scheduled ceremony, your guests will be invited into the magical world of the Lovatt Chapel and seated.

  • The ceremony lasts approximately 20 minutes. Remember to bring your rings!

  • If you have brought along a marriage license, the officiant will sign it and make everything official. Click here for NY State info on licenses and for this handy checklist

  • Glasses of champagne or a mocktail will be served to toast the happy couple and all the wonderful adventures that await.

  • Weather permitting, your guests will greet you in the garden outside of the Lovatt Chapel ready to celebrate your union with a confetti pop (which we supply)! If you choose, a professional photographer will be on hand to capture this moment – and many others all along the way!
